Wake up America, don't you see,

What the government's evolved to be.

Career politicians are all around,

Not a representative to be found.

They do what they want to keep their position,

Without respect to a common sense decision.

Redundant laws to justify their job,

And spout nonsense just to hear their own gob.

They're supposed to work for us,

But we're thrown under the bus.

They need to be fired,

And definitely not be rehired.

Pass a law for them to have a single term limit,

Then they'll get their act together in a New York minute.

For years we've been subjected,

That's not what the Founding Fathers expected.

Eliminate charts for existing incomes and their tax rate,

Initiate a flat tax so we can equally pay the freight.

We the sheeple better wake up,

Or we'll repeat history and be holding a tin cup.

Can the Mayan calendar possibly be right,

Where the world will not overcome the blight?

At that time many variables might coincide,

Human contrived in an economic rough ride.

Giving us a 2012 December,

That we may not be around to remember.
